About

Emily holds a Master’s in Early Childhood Development and Education from Loyola University Maryland, a Master’s of Teaching in Special Education from Western Governors University, a TESL/TEFL certificate from the Center for English as a Second Language at Arizona University and is passionate about building strong relationships, and helping families to connect to their happiness as a unit. She has studied in a variety of fields allied with educating and helping families including; lactation education, doula training, birth and parenting education, children’s yoga, prenatal fitness, Thai massage and more.

She has previously owned and operated Olive Branch School Montessori and Sky Yoga Studio (a company that was focused on health, wellness and education for women in the birthing years, babies and families). She has a robust history of volunteerism, including work with Heartland Alliance, Hessed House, Brown Eyed Girl, NDSRA and other organizations that assist underrepresented and minority community members.

Originally from Connecticut, and an adoptee, she has lived in a diverse array of cities from Chicago to Tennessee and New Jersey to Portland, and had a diverse range of lived experiences. She loves books, yoga, and vegan cooking.

Help for businesses, parents, teachers or caregivers looking to integrate Montessori principles and philosophy into their daily interactions, environment, or with specific concerns regarding children and parenting.

Professional Development and Training, TBD

I am a Master Trainer with the Oregon Registry and can help individuals and organizations meet on going continuing education needs.  Offering Set One, Set Two or Set Three trainings that fit your needs. Specialized Set Two or Set Three trainings will need to be discussed a minimum of three months prior to date in order to ensure approval by the Oregon Registry Review Team, with a partial deposit for development at the time of contract, payment in full one week before training. Set One trainings, or already approved trainings are booked as received, partial deposit at time of booking, payment in full due one week before training. All participants will receive a signed certificate of attendance which meets the appropriate standards in the Training and Education Criteria.
